- Super Slim sole: 4mm Vibram Supernewflex lightweight sole plus surface (for an authentic barefoot feel)
- Asphalt-walnut sole: 4mm Vibram Supernewflex lightweight sole, 2mm walnut EVA plus surface (for harder surfaces)
- Standard cork sole: 4mm Vibram Supernewflex lightweight sole, 2mm cork latex plus surface (rather harder sole)
The custom-made models are all produced in an orthopaedic manufactory to fit your feet exactly and are therefore non-returnable. The Huarache Classic can be grounded on request. My Huarache classics arrived yesterday and I am thrilled. The black suede version looks timelessly elegant on the foot and is very soft and supple. When I first put them on, the thong between the big toes felt unusually thick, but after just half an hour of walking, my feet got used to it and now they feel very free and well-supported. Because they are custom-made, the shoe—or this barely-there feel ;-)—fits the foot perfectly. Also, these sandals are so light that I don’t feel the weight At All !
I almost never write reviews, but this time I’m truly delighted and can recommend these sandals without reservation. One tip: if you go for the custom-made version, be rather generous when tracing your footprint—when walking or depending on your position, the foot expands or shifts slightly to the right or left—so it’s nice to have a little buffer.

Meine Huarache classics sind gestern angekommen und ich bin begeistert. Die Ausführung in schwarzem Velourleder ist zeitlos elegant am Fuß , sehr weich und anschmiegsam. Beim Anziehen war der Steg beim großen Zeh etwas ungewohnt dick, aber nach nur einer halben Stunde Gehen, hat sich mein Fuß daran gewöhnt und der Fuß fühlt sich sehr frei und und gut gebettet an. Dadurch, dass er maßgeschneidert ist, passt der Schuh bzw. dieses Hauch von nichts ;-) auch optimal an den Fuß. Zudem ist diese Sandale auch so leicht, dass ich das Gewicht Überhaupt Nicht ! spüre.
Ich schreibe wirklich fast nie Bewertungen, aber diesmal bin ich wirklich begeistert und kann diese Sandale uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Ein Tipp noch: falls ihr die maßgeschneiderte Version nehmt, malt euren Fußabdruck eher großzügig ab – beim Gehen oder je nach Position dehnt sich der Fuß aus oder weicht mal mehr nach recht oder links aus – da ist es schön, wenn ein kleiner Puffer da ist.

Mega great sandals, if you have out how to adjust them. Have ordered them made to measure for asphalt. Fit perfectly, the delivery arrived after about 2-3 weeks with me. The buttery soft sole and soft leather straps now make them my favorite barefoot shoes. I struggled at the beginning though, as I slipped backwards in the shoe while running. Here it helps to adjust the rear heel strap before putting it on so that there is still about 1cm distance to the rear edge of the sole.

Mega tolle Sandalen, wenn man raus hat, wie man sie einstellt. Hab sie auf Maß für Asphalt bestellt. Passen perfekt, die Lieferung kam nach ca. 2-3 Wochen bei mir an. Die butterweiche Sohle und die weichen Lederbänder machen sie mittlerweile zu meinen liebsten Barfußschuhen. Am Anfang habe ich allerdings gekämpft, da ich im Schuh nach hinten gerutscht bin beim Laufen. Hier hilft es, das hintere Fersenband vor dem anziehen so einzustellen, dass noch ca. 1cm Abstand zum hinteren Sohlenrand ist.
